A few shots from yesterday’s round.

Always something to work on, always something to enjoy.

That’s the game ⛳️

Releasing the club doesn’t mean sacrificing consistency. 👊

One of the biggest myths in golf is that allowing the clubface to rotate quickly through impact leads to uncontrollable misses.

The truth? Keeping the clubface square to the arc for as long as possible requires excellent body rotation, mobility, stability, and timing. Without those pieces, you can end up hitting it just as crooked, losing distance, and putting unnecessary stress on your body.

Every method requires timing. The difference is that learning to release the club can unlock more effortless speed and distance without demanding as much from your body.

For most amateur golfers, I’d rather teach you how to release the clubhead and manage the timing than chase a perfectly square clubface through the entire hitting zone.

Stop chasing positions that your body can’t consistently support. Learn to use the clubhead, and let it work for you. 💨

Consistency doesn’t come from trying something different every swing.

It comes from attempting to do the same thing over and over until you become proficient at it.

A lot of golfers struggle because they’re chasing perfection by applying as much advice as possible to their game. Every new tip creates a new swing thought, and every new swing thought needs time to actually flourish before it can become something you consistently execute.

These 3 swings are different shots, but my intent is the same.

It’s the same focus I’ve been working on for about 6 months now.

Not trying to find something new.

Trying to get better at something I already believe in.

Train it. Test it. Trust it.

We’ve been taught that a flat left wrist at the top is the “correct” position.

But golf swings aren’t one size fits all.

Your grip influences your wrist angles, and a stronger left hand grip can naturally pair well with a more cupped left wrist.

That extra wrist hinge can also help create more freedom to release the club through impact and produce that effortless speed we’re all looking for.

The goal isn’t to force your wrist into a position because it looks “correct.”

The goal is to understand how your grip, wrist angles, and release work together.

Fred Couples is a great example. 👀

Another great masterclass in the books! 🔥

This weekend we focused on one of the most overlooked parts of the golf swing: release timing.

Different clubs require different things, and learning how to match your release to the club in your hands can make a huge difference throughout the bag.

Big thank you to everyone who came out and put in the work! I loved seeing the progress throughout the session.

Next up: Short Game Masterclass at Walkerhill Short Game Complex on September 5th! Only a few spots available. DM me for details! 👀🏌️‍♂️🔥

What a day! 🔥

The Full Swing Masterclass was an incredible event, and I can’t thank everyone enough for making it happen.

Thank you to the Swing Crew for all the help behind the scenes and for helping me pull off such a great event. Thank you to David for doing an amazing job with the translations. And most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out and participated!

The energy, effort, and willingness to learn were awesome all day. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to share what I love and help more golfers improve their game.

Now onto the next one! Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next Masterclass this coming Saturday! 💪🏌️‍♂️

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s playing the margins.

During this playing lesson with Joon, we spent a lot of time talking about attitude, expectations, and what it really means to be competitive.

Many junior golfers are too hard on themselves and create unrealistic expectations about what effective golf should look like. They strive for perfect shots, when great golfers understand that the game is about managing misses and giving yourself the best chance to succeed.

So we focused on controlling the things we actually can:

• Have a clear plan
• Pick a smart target that gives you room for your misses
• Align properly
• Rehearse one simple feel
• Commit to the shot
• Accept the result

Once the ball is gone, there is nothing you can do about that shot. Getting upset about the result only has the potential to affect the next one.

And being optimistic and talking to yourself positively isn’t just about “feeling good.” It’s a competitive strategy.

If you’re truly competitive and want to give yourself the best chance to play your best, you have to make decisions that increase your chances of executing.

It doesn’t guarantee good golf. But it gives you a better chance to play well, respond better to mistakes, and ultimately enjoy the game more.

Compete with your decisions. Accept your results. Play the next shot.

12 fairways hit today and no OB. 👀

My driver has been consistently so much better since I sorted out my release timing. Amazing how much easier driving can feel when the club is releasing at the right time. 🚀🏌🏾‍♂️

4 drives from today’s round.👇🏾

I know it’s generally best to pick one stock shot and stick with it for consistency.

But every time I step onto a tee box, I feel like the course designer is telling me whether to hit a draw or a fade. The shape of the hole, the angles, the trouble, and what suits my eye all influence the shot I choose.

That’s one of my favorite parts of playing golf. Every hole asks a different question.

Does anyone else feel the same way? Do you like shaping the ball both ways, or do you prefer sticking to one stock shot?
