Grandmaster Nam, 8th Dan, joined a local club in Korea in 1959 at age nine and began the study of Tang Soo Do under Master Young Y. He achieved black belt when he was twelve years old and began teaching as an assistant instructor at age thirteen. He was also the Korean Air Force Champion from 1969 to 1972. Grandmaster Taek Ho Nam invites all NMAC students and selected Martial Arts schools to participate in an exciting day of competition, confidence-building, and community that brings together practitioners who share a commitment to skill, spirit, and mutual respect.

Each group (3–5 competitors) is carefully matched to give students a challenging, supportive experience that pushes them to grow—and still gives them all the benefits and fun of competition!
