🥎 GREAT WEEKEND FOR THE ROADRUNNERS! 🥎

What a weekend for our Pittsburgh Lady Roadrunners 9U! We wrapped up the tournament with 2 wins and 2 losses, gaining valuable experience, learning some lessons, and continuing to grow as a team. Between the freezing temperatures and multiple game delays, it was definitely a weekend that tested everyone’s patience and toughness! 🥶💪 But our girls continued to battle and compete!

🥎 GAME 1: Roadrunners 17 – All American - Houy 1

We came out HOT on Saturday! 🔥 Our girls were flying around the bases, racking up an incredible 19 stolen bases on the way to a big opening win!

🏆 Game MVP: Blakely for an outstanding performance in the circle!
💥 Our MVP: Conor for a GREAT double!
💪 Hustle Award: Charlie & Norah for working together to record three outs at home!

🥎 GAME 2: Roadrunners 0 – Flood City 9

Next up, we faced a tough Flood City squad. Although the scoreboard didn’t go our way, our girls continued to battle until the final out and never gave up!

🏆 Game MVP: Charlie for making a couple of fantastic snags in the field!
💥 Our MVP: Norah for stepping up and pitching a great game!
💪 Hustle Award: Lizzie for working hard behind the plate and battling at catcher!

(The MVP chain was MIA Saturday so that’s why you don’t see it in the pictures)

🥎 GAME 3: Roadrunners 8 – All American - Houy 2

After earning the third seed heading into Sunday, we faced All American - Houy once again. This time, it was a much closer battle, but our girls came through with another big win to advance! 👏

💥 Our MVP: Aria for coming up BIG with a clutch hit, driving in 2 RBIs with the bases loaded!
💪 Hustle Award: Conor for another HUGE double and continuing to work hard in the field!

🥎 GAME 4: Semifinals – Roadrunners 0 – Flood City 3

We met Flood City again in the semifinals, and our girls put together a much stronger defensive performance against a tough opponent. We came up short 0-3, but the improvement and fight our girls showed were something to be proud of!

💥 Our MVP: Blakely for showing incredible toughness, battling back after taking a line drive to the stomach while pitching, and finishing the game!
💪 Hustle Award: Lizzie for another fantastic performance behind the plate and giving it her all at catcher!

❤️ THAT’S A WRAP ON OUR FALL SEASON!

We’re proud of the progress these girls have made, the lessons they’ve learned, and the way they continue to compete together. There’s still plenty of work to do, but that’s what the offseason is for!

Now it’s time to get in the lab, put in the work, sharpen our skills, and get ready for spring. We know the road ahead won’t be easy, but you better believe these Roadrunners are ready for the challenge! 🏃‍♀️💨

Thank you to all of our families for braving the cold, dealing with the delays, and supporting these girls every step of the way!

🥎 Always great to see our girls competing! 💙💛

This week, some of our Roadrunners had the chance to face off against their own teammates in rec league action! Hayden, Aria, and Connor took on Avery, while Blakely and Cheetah faced off against Violet!

Both games were competitive, and our girls showed up and showed out! 🔥 We love seeing them compete, continue to develop, and get the chance to play against one another outside of our team practices and tournaments.

Way to go, girls! Keep up the great work! 🥎💪💙💛

This weekend was about so much more than wins and losses. These girls are learning, adapting, trying new things, supporting one another, and getting better every time they step on the field. That’s what it’s all about! 🥎

A huge weekend of softball, learning, laughs, and memories with this group! 👻

Now we get a couple weeks to keep working before we’re back at it for our next tournament:
