We are playing the “what if” game!!!!

Jolie S collected three hits in three at bats, as Explosion 8u - Stewart defeated Illiana Heat Black 8U 14-7 on Sunday at 1050 Jones Dr. Jolie tripled in the second inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the first inning.

Explosion 8u - Stewart jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Anna D doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, an error scored one run, and Berkley F grounded out, scoring two runs.

A single by Josey J, a double by Stella C, and a triple by Jolie helped Explosion 8u - Stewart extend their early lead in the second.

Explosion 8u - Stewart added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Elianna S singled to the left side of the infield, Harper C doubled to center field, and Berkley grounded out, each scoring one run.

Harper started in the circle for Explosion 8u - Stewart. The starter gave up seven hits and seven runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out none and walking none. Harper J stepped in the circle first for Illiana Heat Black 8U. The starting pitcher gave up 15 hits and 14 runs (10 earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking none.

Explosion 8u - Stewart were triumphant over Westside Diamonds 8u Shumate 9-6 on Sunday at 1050 Jones Dr.

Westside Diamonds 8u Shumate opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two errors. Westside Diamonds 8u Shumate first got on the board when an error scored one run.

Westside Diamonds 8u Shumate added one run in the second after Iliza D grounded out.

Explosion 8u - Stewart tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a fielder's choice by Hayden F, and a single by Josey J.

An error gave Westside Diamonds 8u Shumate the lead, 4-3, in the top of the third.

Explosion 8u - Stewart jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Jolie S hit an inside the park home run, Harper C doubled to the left side of the infield, Berkley F lined into a fielder's choice, and Hayden singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Even though Explosion 8u - Stewart collected 22 hits to Illiana Heat Black 8U's 16, they still fell 15-14 on Saturday. Stella C led Explosion 8u - Stewart with four hits.

Camryn H drove in four runners in the loss. The left-handed hitter went 3-3 on the day.

Explosion 8u - Stewart opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Explosion 8u - Stewart first got on the board when Jolie S singled, scoring one run.

Illiana Heat Black 8U tied the game up in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Illiana Heat Black 8U tied the game at two on a single by Maylee E.

In the top of the second, Explosion 8u - Stewart broke up the tie when Camryn hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs. Then a single by Stella followed to extend the lead to 5-2.

Illiana Heat Black 8U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 8-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Emersyn O that drove in two.

Illiana Heat Black 8U added one run in the third. Charlotte K doubled to center field, making the score 9-6.

Illiana Heat Black 8U scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. An error scored three runs, Harper J singled, scoring one run, and Maylee singled, scoring two runs.

Explosion 8u - Stewart scored six runs on eight hits in the top of the fifth inning. Elianna S singled, scoring two runs, Harper C singled, scoring one run, Camryn singled, scoring one run, Josey J singled, scoring one run, and Stella singled, scoring one run.
