As June 1st fastly approaches, please be aware of our new guidelines to perform services:
1) When you arrive, please stay in your car. You can send us a personal text or call the receptionist at 507-534-3400 to let us know you have arrived.
2) Masks are REQUIRED by clients receiving any services. Our Team at Bella Salon will be wearing them as well. This rule is enforced by the MN Board of Cosmetology so there will be no EXCEPTIONS. Please wear the style of mask that hooks to your ears rather than around your head and be prepared to get color and/or hair on your mask.
3) Please come to your appointment alone. Only the person receiving the service is allowed in the salon. If your child is receiving the service, one adult may accompany them. Children must wear a mask as well. (We know that children will not love this but please do your best.)
4) We are unable to offer beverages and magazines at this time. You are allowed to bring your own if you choose.
5) Please take your temperature before your appointment. If you forget or do not have access to a thermometer, we will have one available at the front desk to do so.
We ask that you please cancel your appointment if you are feeling ill. We, at Bella Salon, will do our best to keep you safe so please do your part in keeping us safe.
We look forward to seeing you again.
❤️ Bella Girls
Governor Walz has just announced additional guidelines for the reopening of salons. The Board will link this guidance on our website momentarily.
Personal care services (such as hair salons) can reopen on June 1, 2020 to provide services indoor as long as they follow the Industry Guidance for Safely Reopening (see link below) including the following:
- Have adopted and implemented a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan
- Limit number of clients inside the business at any time to ensure 6 feet of distance between persons except when providing services
- Reduce occupant capacity to no more than 25% of fire code occupancy
- See clients by appointment only; do not allow walk-ins
- Require workers and clients to wear masks at all times; do not provide services that cannot be performed without masks
Industry Guidance for Safely Reopening: Personal Care Services - Checklist for employee preparedness, worker protections and protocols for all workplaces.
Salon Leader's Toolkit for COVID-19 - Go-to resource guide for salon owners and managers.
Stay Clean. Stay Safe. - This publication was created to help licensees comply with requirements found in Minnesota Laws and Rules.
All documents have been posted to the BOC website. https://mn.gov/boards/cosmetology/
[05/20/20] Dear clients, we are able to open on June 1st! Although we are very excited, we have some new guidelines, please bring a mask to wear, also arrive right on time, and only one client per stylist in the building, which means if you are coming with family members or friends, they will have to wait outside or in your vehicle until you exit. Thank you all so much for your love and support! You are amazing! Let's do this! Love, Bella girls
I’m crossing my fingers 🤞🏻 that June 1st is our magical date to open our doors. With that being said I am trying to get my clients rescheduled. Please be patient as I am only one person. I will be working extra hours to try and accommodate all of my people. Please send me a text or a message if you would like to get on my books. I can’t wait to see all of you!!
Once again, we are sorry to post that we STILL aren’t able to open our doors and will need to postpone all of our appointments until June 1st. We will be in touch to schedule your appointments ASAP. We can’t wait to see you soon! Thanks to all of you for your support and love!
Unfortunately, we have been ordered to remain closed until May 18th. We will be contacting you to reschedule. We miss you terribly and hope you’re staying safe and healthy!
Love, The Bella Girls

Senator Karin Housley
Almost 40,000 Minnesotans are licensed by the Board of Cosmetology—and out of work in light of the governor’s executive order. Today, Senator Michelle Benson, Senator Mary Kiffmeyer, and I sent them a letter requesting prompt info on the steps they’re taking to come alongside these men & women and get them SAFELY back to work.
[03/25/20] My heart aches as I write this post. Due to Covid-19 we are unable to open the salon until May 1st, 2020. Please bear with us during all this craziness. We miss you all and cannot wait to get you back in our chairs. We are so thankful for the commitment you have shown us over the years and the support many of you have shown us during this time is overwhelming and so appreciated. Please stay safe (and don’t cut your own bangs). ❤️

I sure do miss my clients❤️😩
I know your roots are bad, I know your hair will be too long and you won't feel like yourself. I would love to go back to work but I can't, our industry can't. When you ask us what kind of color you will need and buy that store box color just remember your putting money into the big companies pocket while we small ones are suffering. There is no way to make income from our industry right now since we are hands on. When we can come back, please remember us and please don't blame us if we need to fix your hair and it will cost more.
Not only do we miss our income but we miss you. Our chats, laughter, tears, we share so much more than just a haircut. We are standing here united to stay safe but inside we are worried and stressed about our work being completely torn from us. We sit patiently waiting, like you, for answers or reassurance of some sort. With uncertain clarity, we hope and pray that you will be back to us soon and our industry comes back stronger than ever! 🙏
Please share and support your stylist. Help remember our hairstylist community as we stand not behind our chair right now, but united being safe through this pandemic.

Unfortunately, we were just notified that we can no longer have the salon open. We will be closed until March 27th, unless we need to be closed longer. Please check in on our page for updates.
