Stoked to see the fruition of a two year project come together that will expose disc golf to hundreds of thousands kids and young adults in just the first couple years! Des Reading and myself Jay Yeti have volunteered our time and twenty-five years of World Class play and educational background to the Boy Scouts of America (Scouting BSA) in their effort to bring disc golf into the BSA Merit Badge system. Longtime PDGA #6517, BSA Unit Commissioner, Steve Rose of Iowa led the connection between the Scouts and disc golf. The team we put together included support from the historical legends of the sport and materials from Educational Disc Golf Experience (EDGE), Professional Disc Golf Association, and Disc Golf Strong. More players, more courses, more youth=oh boy! Additional details of this amazing story coming soon.
