As 10/11 year olds, numbers don’t matter. Teaching, coaching and learning does.
Points don’t matter.
What matters is how they play and how they carry themselves.
Do they hustle?
Do they defend?
Did they listen?
Can they lead and be lead when it’s hard?
We’re building young men, not chasing noise.
Leaders don’t need attention. They handle business.
If it can’t be seen on the floor —
effort, discipline, toughness —
then it doesn’t count.
Ignore the noise.
Do the work.
Lead.
Singleton Basketball
Skills development James Singleton developed a passion for basketball a little later in life than most professional players.
He was introduced to the game at the age of 16, then quickly developed into a dominant high school player. Upon graduating, Singleton received multiple D-1 full-ride scholarship offers to schools like Miami, Texas Tech, Tulane, ect. to play ball, but for family reasons decided to stay a little closer to Mississippi and accepted a full scholarship to Pearl River Community Junior College in Mississi
Too many people are obsessed with numbers.
Points. Stats. Box scores.
But for what?
If you scored a lot and your team still looks lost, disconnected, and sloppy…
what did you really accomplish?
Our focus isn’t on digital figures.
Our goal is visual.
How you move.
How you communicate.
How you defend.
How you respond when things get hard.
Seen. Felt. Understood.
If it doesn’t pass the eye test,
the numbers don’t mean a thing.
People in general forget quick who’s been standing up for them —
sacrificing family time for them, and truly believing in them and their growth.
Disrespect… lack of buy-in… half attention — that only flies for so long.
Once you reach that point with me, there’s no “can we talk,” no “misunderstanding or miscommunication.”
I make my expectations clear. I give my all — expecting nothing back except respect and full effort.
That’s priceless.
I’ve learned that when you get the chance to learn from rare, you cherish it.
Because when it’s gone… it’s gone.
And the silence that follows will remind you
of the value of what you once had — and can’t get back.
Coach, this sent a surge of positive energy through me watching and hearing it. 🔥 I love it and will definitely be implementing this into my program. Appreciate you for putting this out

Thanks for such a great camp and experience . Beyond proud of these young men — the growth they’ve shown in such a short time is special. They got the chance to compete with other talented players, prove how much work they’ve already put in, and see firsthand how much more is ahead. This is only the beginning — the grind doesn’t stop, and their ceiling is unlimited. 💯🔥
