We are collectors and operators of S-gauge electric trains compatible with the American Flyer trains manufactured by the A.C. Gilbert Company. In 1938 the A.C.
Gilbert Co., already well known as the manufacturer of Erector sets, chemistry sets, and Mysto Magic sets, purchased the company that produced American (Chicago) Flyer Trains. After World War II Gilbert introduced its line of 1/64 scale trains with two rail track that was more realistic than the common three-rail track of the time. These trains were popular through the 1950’s and early 60’s. Today

This weekend we’ll be running American Flyer Trains at the Great Train Show at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. If you’re in the SF Bay Area come out and join us. The show runs from 10:00 to 4:00 on Saturday and Sunday.

This weekend the GGAFC is running trains at the Great Train Show in Pleasanton. If you’re in the Bay Area come out and see our trains. We’ve also seen a couple of dealers with lots of Flyer.

Today we were running American Flyer Trains at a show hosted by our friends in the San Joaquin Valley Toy Train Operators at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds in Turlock. The show runs from 10:00 to 3:00 on Sunday so come out and visit us if you can.
