SVSU Hunt Equestrian Team

SVSU Hunt Equestrian Team is a club sport at Saginaw Valley State University; coached by Nancy Bellor at Sunshine Farms. All levels of experience welcome.

This is a page dedicated to the SVSU Hunt Equestrian Team that includes jumping (over fences) and on the flat work. We welcome people of all different levels of experience. We compete in IHSA shows against teams such as: Michigan State University, Grand Valley State University, Central Michigan University, and more.

Congratulations to all of our riders today. It was the first day of the Kalamazoo College meet and we did amazing! Josie Butterfield placed 1st in her Intermediate Jumping class and 6th in her Limit flat class! Madison Nichols placed 1st in both her Limit jumping and flat class and was the Reserve High Point Rider so a huge congratulations to her! Haleigh Laur placed 4th in her Novice class! Sarah Bone placed 3rd in her Pre-Novice class! And Tara Thomson placed 4th in her Introductory class!

For those of you interested in coming to our meeting tonight at 10pm, please bring your laptops if you have them. If we have time and most people are set with being on the team, we will start doing some administrative stuff for IHSA (which will require your laptop). Don't forget, meet outside of Curtiss 101 or across from the Malcom Field Theater. Thanks!!

Great job to all the girls who showed this weekend! Overall it was a great showing for the Cardinals! We had a lot of girls show for the first time and girls, across the board, improve in their divisions! The show was a great experience and we look forward to our next show at Albion!
