Event #4 - Sturgeon Bay July 11th, 2026

Its been many years since we have had such a beautiful day to fish this body of water. High sun and not a breath of wind allowed us to run wherever we wanted on the bay. The fish had moved out of the post spawn and into their summer patterns for the most part. 3 teams ran north and 2 stayed back near the shipping channel. The ones who ran north definitely found more success with all bringing in some good quality fish. Traditional finesse techniques dominated with bright sun and clear water. Here are the final results.

1. Dylan & Guest - 15.93lbs
2. Ted & Rusty - 14.86 lbs
3. Blake & Joe - 10.02 lbs

Event #3 - Lake Winnebago

A strong 30+mph west wind prevented us from being able to launch on the east side of the lake like we originally planned, however, we were still able to fish by launching on the west shore. There were mixed results depending on the area of the west shore teams fished with some teams having great success while others struggling to catch a limit. The winning team caught a small limit of largemouth early in the day then went looking for some kicker smallmouth to bring in a nice limit.

Results:

1. Dylan & Joe - 11.1 lbs
2. Blake & Rusty - 9.3 lbs
3. Tyler - 4.64 lbs

Event #2 - Long Lake in Dundee

On a day where the tournament director took off, the assistant tournament director forgot the scale which left our anglers having to do a total length tournament rather than weight. Incredibly there was a tie for 1st place to the quarter of an inch so each team weighed there biggest 1 bass on one of the teams small scales as a tiebreaker and Tyler & Rusty came away with the W. Lots of bass were caught this day.

Results

1st: Tyler & Rusty - 83.50"
2nd: Leo - 83.50"
3rd: Ted & Joe - 77.75"

Well the weather yesterday was not what I had in mind when scheduling a night tournament on Elkhart Lake, but our 4 teams made the most of it. What started as a rainy, wet afternoon turned into a windy cloudy evening. As the sun went down, the full moon was hidden behind the clouds causing it to be a very dark night on the water. However, the fish didn't seem to mind as several smallmouth and largemouth were landed after dark. Here are the results from last nights tournament.

1st Place: Dylan & Bill - 12.5lbs
2nd Place: Blake & guest - 9.8lbs
3rd Place: Tyler & guest - 5.2lbs
4th Place: Ted & Artie - 4.8lbs

Big Bass: Bill - 3.2lb smallmouth

2nd Big Bass: Artie with a 3.0lb Largemouth on a buzzbait in the pitch black of night.

KMBA 2026 Season - Tournament #1
Little Lake Butte De Morts - May 24, 2026

This lake continues to put out big bags of fish. We could not hit this earlier in the season due to the flooding, but even with most fish being post spawn our teams put together some nice bags.

Results:
1st Place: Dylan & Eugene - 16.80 lbs
2nd Place: Leo & Rusty - 14.44 lbs
3rd Place: Blake & Ted - 13.69 lbs

Big Bass: Dylan - 4.40lb Largemouth

We had our meeting at Racers Hall tonight to pick our partners for the upcoming tournaments. This weekends evening tournament on Elkhart Lake under a full moon listening to the music at the tiki bar is one I have been eyeing up since the schedule came out earlier this year. I am excited to see how our club breaks down this body of water. The pairings for the next 2 tournaments are below:

Elkhart Lake - Saturday, August 29th 2:00pm-10:00pm

Sheboygan River - Saturday, September 19th 7:00am-3:00pm

As a reminder, we take the scores from the top 6 tournaments of the year and determine Mr. Bass at year end based on the points total from your top 6 tournaments.
