Join us for the Lake Monsters open water swim in Queens Bay!

The Queens Bay Lake Monsters Open is on Saturday August 15, 2026. It includes the following events: 10 K, 5k, Mile, and 500 fun swim.

Day three at State yesterday ended much how it started. With Lake Monsters swimmers making their presence felt and swimming their hearts out, and finding themselves swimming in finals for some medals.

Eion took home the 7th place medal in the 50 free

Annie took 4th in the 50 fly and 5th in the 100 back.

Avery took home the 8th place medal in 50 fly,

And congratulations to 2026 Long Course state champ in the 1500, Hannah Harriman! She also took 7th in the 100 free.

Years of hard work, dedication, and consistency from athletes and their families have lead to this moment for these swimmers, and it should be celebrated by us all with that in mind. Thank you all for coming and making these memories possible for us all.

Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed this weekend. Your coaches are very proud of how you stepped up and performed.

Another amazing day for the Lake Monsters concluded with some inspired performances from our swimmers in finals! So proud of these swimmers. They have endured some really tough practices as we worked towards this meet and their diligence in practice has paid off. We don’t get to train long course and our opportunities to race it are so infrequent, but Lake Monsters adapt and overcome and do our best to be prepared for it. Today, as they tend to do, the swimmers held their our own out there and represented us all so well with the competitive spirit they showed.

Annie Kleinmeyer won the 50 breaststroke! This race was a nail biter until the last stroke with 4 girls finishing within a second of each other. She also took second in the 100 fly with a best time.🥇 🥈 State Champ x2!

Caelan Cummins continues to improve by leaps and bounds every time he races. He took 7th overall after being seeded well outside the top 8 in the 200 free and dropped nearly 15 seconds from late June. The kid was of fire!

Hannah Harriman swam in finals in the 200 back where she took 2nd and went a best time in a fantastic swim! In the 200 free Hannah took 7th overall in a very competitive field.
That’s a nightmare back to back if you enjoy the act of walking. Good thing we kick a lot in practice 😉. Well done Hannah!

Congratulations the Eion Deiser for dabbing his way to 4th overall in the state in the 8 and under 50 breaststroke!

Congratulations to Cora and Emily who swam fantastic today. One more session tomorrow for these kids, keep up the good work!

Congratulations to Lake Monsters 2026 Montana Long Course State Champs Annie Kleinmeyer and Joey Kinnick who both won the 200 IM today!!! 🥇 🥇

Both Annie and Joey also brought home medals in two other events. 5th in the 50 backstroke and 4th in the 50 free for Joey and 4th 100 breaststroke and 3rd 50 freestyle for Annie!

Hannah added to her medal count by going a best time in the 50 free and taking home 8th place.

Great job everyone! Super exciting racing today from the team!
