** Mako Summer Camp - SPACES STILL AVAILABLE **

Mako’s Summer Camp is less than a month away now - spaces re filling up fast.

We will be doing all four weeks INDOORS at City Soccer and have full and half day options.

Week 1 - July 6th-July 10th
Week 2 - July 13th-July 17th
Week 3 - July 20th-July 24th
Week 4 - July 27th-July 31st

Cost is $250 full day (9am-4pm) or $150 half day (9am-12noon)

We do have a cap on the number of players we can sign up each week so make sure you get registered sooner rather than later. Camp is open for players born between 2019 and 2012.

We will be using TeamSnap for this so you can use the same email that you did for tryout registration.

**Mako Summer Rec**

Registration is now open for Mako’s Summer Rec starting on Wednesday 22nd July.

This is a more relaxed version of our recreational program and is open to all - it’s a great chance for the kids to get some exercise and practice in before school starts. The price will be $80 for the 4 week season and includes a game shirt.

All games will be at McChesney Park.

Practice / Game times will be -

U04 through U8 6:00 - 6:45pm - Wednesday & Friday
U10 through U14/HS 7:00 - 8:00pm - Wednesday & Friday

There have been a number of people asking about additional tryouts so we have decided to put on a supplemental tryout night, Wednesday 10th June at Riverland Paseo Park from 7-8:30pm

We all know how much Coach Freddie means to us here at Mako. Since walking onto the fields over 10 years ago he has been an integral part of the club, helping to develop hundreds of young soccer players.

His amazing wife, Janelle, has just been through some tough surgery and if anyone can help then they will be very grateful.

Mako had a great time hosting FYSA’s Girls in Soccer and will be looking forward to doing it again next season

🏆 Congratulations to Coach Dwayne on being named one of T-Mobile’s Fiber Spring 2026 Coach of the Year! 🏆

Coach Dwayne has been so much more than a coach for our U12 & U13 girls. He has been a mentor, leader, teacher, motivator, and believer. He pushes players to grow not only in skill, but in confidence, accountability, toughness, and belief in themselves. He demands excellence, makes adjustments when it matters most, and always finds ways to keep his players focused, competing, and improving.

What stands out most is the care he puts into developing the whole player, mentally, technically, tactically, and emotionally. The growth we’ve seen in these girls, both on and off the field, speaks for itself.

This recognition is not just about wins and results (though there have been plenty 😉). It’s about impact. The confidence he’s helped build, the lessons he’s taught, the culture he’s created, and the way he continues to inspire young athletes to believe in themselves and each other.

Mako is proud. The girls and parents are grateful. And we know Jamaica is smiling too! BIG Up Coach Dwayne!
