Sharks Mid-to-Late Summer Recap 🦈☀️
The dog days of summer brought the heat, but the Sharks stayed even hotter on the field. Here’s a quick look back at the action over the past few weeks:
🗓️ 7/20 vs. Knuckleheads
The Knuckleheads were unable to field a team, resulting in a 10-0 forfeit win for the Sharks. That didn’t stop the team from getting in some game reps, as a friendly was played with help from a few Warriors. The Sharks edged out a 3-1 win in a competitive scrimmage.
🗓️ 7/27 vs. Tribe
A dominant performance on both sides of the ball led to a commanding 11-1 victory. Stellar pitching and consistent hitting were on full display as the Sharks made a statement.
🗓️ 8/3 vs. Natives
In another exciting chapter of this season-long rivalry, the Sharks built a 13-4 lead heading into the final inning. However, the Natives roared back with 9 runs to tie the game 13-13, capping off another wild matchup between two talented teams.
🗓️ 8/10 vs. Warriors
After falling behind 4-0 early, the Sharks showed their grit, clawing back to earn a 5-4 comeback win. A true team effort as the bats and bullpen came through when it mattered most.

Sharks Drop a Heartbreaker on Sunday, 6/29
The Sharks were in control late, but a 5-2 lead slipped away in the final inning, as the Natives rallied to steal a 6-5 win. It was a tough loss against a team that’s had our number this season.
Pedro Echemendia was dominant on the mound, going 6 strong innings with 10 strikeouts. He also contributed at the plate, drawing 2 walks and scoring twice.
Sunday July 6th, the Sharks battled to a 5-5 tie with the first-place Knuckleheads, capped by a time limit after 7 innings. Tyler Viscusi also delivered a solid performance on the mound.
Offensively, the Sharks came out swinging — literally — launching five solo home runs. Robbie Buske had a monster day, blasting three homers, including one righty to lead off the game and two more in his next two at-bats lefty. Tyler Viscusi made it back to back after Buske’s leadoff bomb and TJ Mullins also went deep.
Despite the power surge, the Sharks couldn’t come through with hits in key moments, stranding several runners in scoring position.
