South Florida Flamingos Continue Winning Tradition with Memorable Summer Season

The South Florida Flamingos added another successful chapter to their growing summer baseball tradition, capping off a season defined by resilience, teamwork, and championship-level play.
Competing against some of the top youth travel teams across South Florida, the Flamingos once again proved they belong among the area’s elite. Over the past two summers, the organization has reached four tournament championship games, bringing home the Willows Tournament Championship in Royal Palm Beach while consistently battling deep into weekend competition.
The success has been fueled by a balanced roster and players willing to step up in every phase of the game. Frank Cantrell delivered steady leadership and dependable defense throughout the summer while providing timely offense in key situations. CP MCGriff was a consistent contributor whose hustle and baseball instincts helped spark the Flamingos on both sides of the ball. Brayden Essenwine emerged as one of the team’s most reliable performers, making clutch plays when the games mattered most and helping set the tone with his competitive approach.
While tournament trophies are always welcomed, coaches say the team’s greatest accomplishment has been the development of its players. Throughout the season, the Flamingos emphasized fundamentals, sportsmanship, and playing the game the right way, earning respect from opponents wherever they competed.
“Our goal has always been to develop great baseball players while building great teammates,” the manager Keith Buck said. “This group embraced that challenge from the first meeting in the parking lot to the final game.”
The team’s signature turquoise jerseys with bright pink lettering have become a recognizable sight at ballparks throughout Palm Beach County, symbolizing a program built on hard work, accountability, and family.
As another successful summer comes to a close, the South Florida Flamingos have established themselves as one of the area’s most consistent youth travel programs. With four championship game appearances in the past two summers and a Willows Tournament title already on the résumé, the future looks bright as the next generation of Flamingos continues to build on that success.
