Wisdom of the Owl is now Wounded Hearts. It’s been a few years and a lot of big changes since I launched Wisdom of the Owl. The Owl is still calling us towards deeper presence, but to be present in 2026 is to be present with grief. Individual grief, national grief, global grief, collective grief, the grief of our ancestors and our children. We can only move forward if we hold it, and we can only hold it together.

Hey friends, It’s time to get the word out about my new business, Wounded Hearts In-Home Grief Support and Counseling. This is not my final logo (I have a beloved working on that), and I don’t have a finished website yet because making websites is not a thing I’m good at….
What I am good at is sitting with people in the painful ugly honest moments of life and that’s what Wounded Hearts is about. Grief is not a thing anyone should have to hold alone, not ever.

If conversation at family holiday gatherings are likely to be uncomfortable for you this year, here’s an interesting nature fact to ease the tension: Female hyenas have fully functional pen*ses that are identical to the males. Isn't God's creation amazing? Nature can teach us so much about God.
They chose a criminal over Jesus too. 😥
