Hope everyone had a good World Parkinson's Day, yesterday. I had a reflective day in Palau that included completing a mile swim in the third of my eleven Pacific island nations to visit in time.
444 Parkinson's Traveler
I am a physician with a love for travel and a desire to break the usual stereotypes associated with Parkinson's Disease.
I have set goals to visit all 196 countries in the world before my 52nd birthday on December 13, 2017 -- and to complete a new travel & running challenge each year in April to celebrate Parkinson's Awareness Month. In April 2014, I completed a challenge titled "Run-the-World 4 Parkinson's Disease" in which I ran 4 miles in 44 different countries in just over 4 weeks. In April 2015, I plan to "Run-the-Caribbean 4 Parkinson's Disease". I will be attempting to run 300 km on 30 islands in 30 days.
