Metzger Park Annual Egg Hunt this morning. Wilton Cloud the Chair of the Metzger Park Local Improvement District board thanked the Metzger community for their support of the Park. Carl Switzer of Washington County Parks explained the run of show to all the participants.

One tree in the park had to come down due to storm damage. Glad park staff were able to have it safely brought down this last week.

Stopped by to see how the trees did in the storm. Only noticed one sorta leaning and park staff were quick to make note of it. Aside from losing power and there being more debris on the ground the park did pretty well for snow/ice/wind storm of 2024!

The Garden Home History folks have some 1936 aerial photos of Metzger and Tigard taken by the US Army Corps of Engineers. They've noted some easily recognizable roads and sites of the future. You can find Metzger Park in the wooded area by following Hall Blvd (then HWY 217) to the curve in the upper lefthand corner of the photo.
