Prop 310: Arizona Fire District Safety Act, is a tenth-of-a-penny increase in the state’s sales tax, set to expire in 20 years, that'll be on the ballot this year. The funds will go towards our state's 144 Fire Districts.
The goal is to ensure that all Fire Districts have the staffing, equipment, and training to respond to any all-hazards emergency. Odds are, if you travel outside of a major municipal hub, you’re being protected by a Fire District!
Fire Districts are funded through property taxes, which means every time our crews are dispatched to a visitor from Phoenix, Casa Grande, or Las Vegas, our property-owning taxpayers are footing the bill. If Prop 310 passes, anyone who eats, shops, or stays in one of our cities helps fund emergency services through the sales taxes.
To put that in perspective, if $10 is spent on lunch, Prop 310 will cost a penny. If $100 is spent on dinner at a nice restaurant, it will cost a dime.
Should voters approve, Chino Valley Fire District is projected to receive $3.2 million and Central Yavapai Fire District $4.5 million.
We encourage all Arizonans to research Prop 310 and get to the polls November 8th to cast your vote!

Dancing for the Stars, our local Clubs’ most important event of the year, took place on Friday, Sep 9th & Saturday, Sep 10th, 2022. We are deeply grateful to the dancers who joined us in the mission of fundraising on behalf of our community youth. Through their dedicated efforts and community support, we were able to raise critical funds and set a new fundraising record! The incredibly creative performances wowed and entertained the audience, while our community also did an incredible job in engaging and supporting our dancers.
While the true winners are our community kids, three top awards went to Dr. Nisha Tung & Lungani Gwala for “Judge’s Choice” for best performance; Sheriff David Rhodes & Carie Hughes for “People’s Choice Award” for most votes; and Matt Brassard and Dre Caldwell took home the mirror ball for “Best Friendraiser”, for raising the highest amount in overall donations.
A HUGE shout out to all our amazing dancers who worked so hard in fundraising, rehearsing, and dazzling on stage:

✅Create a measurable goal: “I want to get healthier” goal are so vague, but instead create “ I want to do 60 minutes of workout 3 times a week.” Or “I want to ready 2 books every month.” This will give you a target to aim for.
*
✅ Identify clear action steps: trying to lose weight without action steps will leave you feeling lost. Create a plan that includes objectives that will create change. Commit to taking action that will help you get closer to your goals.
*
✅ Set yourself up for success:
Motivation will come easy in the early parts of the process, Set yourself for the dip in motivation early! Make bad habits inconvenient and good habits convenient. Hide the bad snacks in a hard to reach place and keep get your gym bag packed and ready the night before.
*
✅ Plan for obstacles: Think about the obstacles you’re likely to encounter and game plan how you will navigate these challenges.
*
✅Start when you’re ready: you don’t need to start January 1st, but that’s not to say wait until you feel fully confident because that may never happen.
*
✅Track your progress: there are so many apps and way to track your consistency, fund one that works best for you so you know if you are moving in the right direction
*
✅Learn from your mistakes:
Mistakes are part of the process. But one mistake doesn’t mean your goal is over for the year. A study shows that people who are successful in maintaining resolutions tend to slip up at least 14 time. Turn your mistakes into a lesson!
🎈Happy new year! 🎊

National Physical Therapy Month
Its National Physical Therapy Month!
What is a Physical Therapist?
Physical therapists are licensed health care providers. They evaluate, diagnose, and manage health conditions and movement problems in people of all ages and abilities. They empower people to take an active role in their care.
Physical therapists use the latest and best available evidence to design treatment plans specific to each person's needs and goals.
Physical therapists also play a unique role in promoting health, wellness, and fitness. They help people overcome barriers to regular physical activity to benefit physical, mental, and social health.
Physical therapists and Physical therapists assistants work with each other, and with other health care providers to ensure the best care.
PTAs also are licensed. They provide care under a physical therapist's direction and supervision.
We are so blessed to be able to do what we love❤️
