There is a lot of satisfaction in scraping down a well used set of arrows and rebuilding them to be perfectly dialed. For this batch, we spine aligned each then laid down a flat white vinyl wrap. Aside from looking incredibly clean, white wraps are technically superior for hunting—they give you the immediate, accurate data you need to read blood and diagnose your shot placement in the field.

We topped these off with high-visibility AAE Hybrid vanes. When you're dealing with fading light or dense timber, that bright pop of color makes arrow recovery a breeze.

We carried over the sight and rest from the previous build to maintain that familiar feel, but upgraded the balance and hold by adding a new Ultraview stabilizer to the system. And take a look at that Ultraview scope—an incredibly clean and precise sight picture.

We had a customer come in recently struggling with a persistent slight tail left tear after getting a string replacement done elsewhere. After they swapped some cam spacers he was told by the previous shop that the bow was fine and the tear was just "hand torque."

We put it in the press to take a closer look. For those shooting Mathews, you know they use the specific "Top Hat" shimming system. These come in matched pairs to ensure the distance between the cams stays within factory tolerance.

The culprit? We discovered an improper pairing on the top cam—specifically, two installed together.

Once we swapped that out for the correct matched pair and set the rest back to zero, this bow is popping absolute bullet holes. 🎯

With so many manufacturers designing incredible, unique systems (like the Top Hats), you can't rely on guesswork. Whether you’ve been wrenching on bows for 2 months or 20 years, always review the technical documentation for the specific bow you are working on. Details matter!

We started with the Altra Centrum Premiers for that legendary straightness and consistency. We fletched them up with AAE Hybrid 26s for the perfect blend of stability and clearance, capped them with AAE IP nocks, and finished the business end with KuduPoint field points.
