Happy Saturday!
Have you ever wondered how using ropes for exercise can benefit you?
Here are 5 quick tips on why you should incorporate battle ropes into your training routine
1) Cardiorespiratory Fitness: these weighted ropes get your heart rate climbing quickly which in turn uses more energy & burns calories fast!
2) Range of Motion: this extremely functional exercise allows your body to increase its mobility. The movement it puts the shoulders, core, hips, and knees through will end up benefiting your body in your day-to-day actions.
3) Targets Muscles: not only do these motions strengthen the primary muscle groups, but they also target the small muscles that otherwise are not getting much use. In turn, adding to functionality!
4) Injury Prevention: the balance needed in this exercise naturally improves the body’s upper & lower stability. There is a much smaller likelihood of injury when our bodies know how to react to a heavy load while incorporating balance.
5) Switching it up: last but not least, it’s important to change up your workout routine every so often. Partly for your mentality, but especially to keep your body from hitting a plateau. If you were to do the exact same thing day in and day out, you’d go crazy. The same applies to your body! Switch up the routine you’re putting your muscles through & try new things such as ropes!
