THE FIRST WAVE. 🌊💜
Season 3 is in the books for the Punta Gorda Tide.
Did it end where we wanted it to? No. We finished our inaugural season in 8th place, and we won't pretend that doesn't sting.
But when we look back at this first season, we see so much more than a place in the standings.
We see nine players who wore the Tide colors and became part of our story.
Arie. Savanna. Nico. TC. Caden. Jenna. Maddie Porter. Hannah. Maddie Stone-Wheatley.
Different stops. Different lineups. One team.
We see close matches, tough losses, roster changes, lessons learned and moments we'll never forget. And in Jacksonville, we got the moment we'd been chasing all season — the first match win in Punta Gorda Tide history. 🌊🙌
We screamed. We celebrated. There may have even been a few happy tears. 😉💜
Most of all, we discovered that the Tide is bigger than the four players standing on the court.
It's our home at PicklePlex®.
It's Punta Gorda.
It's the people who cheered for us, encouraged us and followed along through every stop.
It's our Riptide. 🌊
To every player who wore our jersey this season: thank you. You will forever be part of the first wave.
To everyone who supported this brand-new team: thank you for believing in what we're building.
Season 3 taught us a lot.
