We continually test our most beat up demos and the foam paddles don’t really budge in terms of face deflection. Power? They CAN have it, but we have foam paddles from conservative to ridiculous. It has been an incredible honor to rejoin Team Yonex and string again at the highest level of the game. The members of this all star stringing room definitely has elite talent but more importantly are the nicest, sincere, genuine and humble people that I know. It’s easy to get busy but I am committed to keeping in touch with the new friends that I have made. Working under the YONEX brand was first class as always and their support made the long days easier. I got to string for a couple of my favorite players and I snuck out for a few games here and there and got to watch an exciting doubles match match my last night. Looking forward to the next adventure!

Then and now! Rich Vernsey (Yonex stringer) and Shunsuke Iki (Yonex engineer) 2018 to 2026! Great to see familiar faces across continents and almost decades! When I was first introduced to “Iki San” in Tokyo he had been recently working on the YONEX Astrel Series frames and he continues work in custom development for pro player testing of frames that could eventually end up in your hands as well!

Rich has joined Team Yonex in California as one of 13 stringers from 7 countries on Thursday to string qualifying through the quarterfinals!

The shop will remain open for business normal hours.10AM to 5PM Mon-Fri and 10AM-2PM on Saturday.

Rush/Priority stringing will be limited until we are back at full staff on March 10th - call to schedule if necessary and our great stringers Cory, Chuck & Roby will try to accomodate.
