On Saturday we celebrated the 4th of July at Acorn Hill with the 4th Annual Stars and Bars Classic Presented by Innova. We had a full field of 90 players for a 2 round shotgun event and it was a beautiful day of disc golf. Not a drop of rain fell until everyone was in their car, and that is a good day!

Congrats to all the winners! This was the third event in the Acorn Hill Points Series, with two more events to go.

Special thank you to Adam McCoy! On top of making all the tags for Acorn Hill Members, he graciously donated his time to make the trophies for the event as well as helped around the course last week getting things ready for the tournament. It is thanks to the constant support I receive from friends like Adam that make Acorn Hill a reality.

Appreciation post: Acorn Hill is home to some of the most genuine, kind and helpful men you will find. Riley Jones is one of them. He’s recovered hundreds of discs for folks over the last two years and never asked for a dollar. All on his free time when he doesn’t have to work. Thank you, Riley!
