Fiiiinaaalllyy. We're airborne and currently passing 17,000 feet and enjoying an amazing sunset. We should have landed 30 minutes ago, but we reinforced this weekend that adaptability and flexibility are essential to the life of a successful swimmer and human being. See you soon.

The North Carolina Capitol building. Thankfully, it was closed, and we didn't see politicians.
We lunchificate at this place that has 621 options for food. It is an indoor/outdoor food hall that is perfect for killing 3 hours or so until we have to fly. They have bbq, rice bowls, tacos, Szechuan, Mongolian, Swedish-Cuban fusion...you name it. Where did most of them flock to? The pizza and burger places. And to the ice-cream, actually. Predictability.

Maddie Smutny, winner of the 200 fly with splits of 1.09 and 1.11. Woooeeeww.
Next year, she'll be at Futures thanks to that 2.20.

Saturday and the last Zonecap is delivered to you by...Dave and Busters. Sugar, then video games.
The night began with the Walmart simulator - the exchange of used and sweaty clothing. The designs this year weren't too impressive, and so trading didn't last as long as usual.
The swim meet, oh yeah, began with Sidney's move from 7th to 4th place in the 50 free. Riley finished 6th in the same event. The 200 flys were...dramatic and amazing. Maddy went in seeded 2nd, and was 4th at the 100. But. Oh big but. She decided to show us how she trains and won the event; she also qualified for Futures; Mariana finished 8th in the event. Alejandro moved from 7th to 4th with a best swim.
Goodbye pool. We then gave the kids food, birthday cake, and an unlimited game card. Weeheww.
It's been an amazing, awesome, exhausting, and rewarding week hopefully for all. Thank you for tuning to our channel all week. We thank the producers, cameramen, chaperones, and everyone back at the studio and home. We'll see you next year in Tupelo, Mississippi. Have a good night
