USA Wrestling Membership Reminder
As a reminder, all athletes must have an active USA Wrestling membership in order to participate in Gladiator Wrestling practices, matches, tournaments, and club activities.
This is not a club rule, it is a requirement of USA Wrestling and is necessary for insurance coverage and participation eligibility.
If your athlete’s membership has expired or has not yet been completed, please take care of it as soon as possible.
If you’re unsure whether your athlete’s membership is active, please reach out and we’ll be happy to help you verify it.
Thank you for helping us keep our athletes safe and our club in compliance.

The Granville County Gladiators would like to publicly thank Karl Krebs for his generous donation and continued support of our mission.
Karl understands what wrestling and grappling can do for young people. Beyond competition, these sports teach discipline, accountability, perseverance, confidence, and character lessons that extend far beyond the mat.
Because of supporters like Karl, we are able to continue providing opportunities for kids in Granville County to learn, grow, compete, and be mentored in a positive environment.
Our goal has always been bigger than wrestling. We are committed to helping young people become strong athletes, strong leaders, and strong members of our community.
Thank you, Karl, for investing in our athletes and believing in what we’re building. Your support helps ensure that every child has the opportunity to be part of something positive, regardless of their financial situation.
From all of us at the Granville County Gladiators Thank You!

It’s summer. We’re sweating more, training more — and that means we’ve got to stay on top of skin infections. I’m not trying to scare you, but I am trying to keep you on the mat.
🦠 What to Watch For:
• Staph – Painful, red, swollen bumps
• Impetigo – Crusty, yellow scabs around the mouth/nose
• Ringworm – Red, round, itchy patches
If something looks weird on your skin — say something. Don’t try to hide it. You could knock yourself and your teammates out for weeks.
☀️ Don’t Trust the Sun.
The sun doesn’t “dry it out.” It makes it WORSE — especially with blisters It weakens the skin and flares things up.
🧼 Here’s How We Stay Clean:
• Shower right after practice — use Defense Soap
• Wash your face/neck with Head & Shoulders
• Keep nails short
• Don’t share towels, shirts, or gear
• Wipe down your gear AND your bag
• Got a cut or scab? Clean it, Neosporin it, cover it.
• Don’t pick at anything.
👊 Bottom line: If it looks sketchy, sit it out and get it checked. You’re not helping anyone by covering it up and pretending it’s nothing.
Let’s stay healthy, stay disciplined, and keep training hard.
I’d rather lose a day than lose a whole team to an outbreak.
