π Where have I been? π
I've been on an incredible journey as a βbodybuilder,β aka. becoming a mom! From battling morning sickness to enduring 30+ hours of labor, it's been a whirlwind. Social media took a backseat as I prioritized my health and our little one. But now, I'm back and ready to share the lessons I've learned on this amazing journey of motherhood. Stay hydrated my friends.
Some interesting facts of water:
π§ 55-60% of our body is water
π§ It lubricates and protects our joints
π§Average person needs to drink about 2L of water a day
π§ Helps regulate our body temp
π§ 165lb person lose about 25oz of water just from breathing in a day
π§ PMS bloat is due to our bodies holding on to more water than normal
π§ Drinking too much water can also have negative effects
π§ You can lose up to 2L of water in just one hour of working out

That instant regret of having some food that you were craving. It tasted so good, but now it feels like shame.

πΉοΈSo busy we haven't eating anything all day β‘οΈ over eat during dinner
These are "easy way out" solutions to common situations many of us face daily. This enables poor health habits for us in the long run.
To fight these poor habits, we tend to make ultimatums with ourselves and say "NEVER AGAIN!" and deep diving into the latest fad diets. Then life happens and you find yourself half-pint deep in some Ben and Jerrys. And the vicious cycle returns.
"Why does this happen to me?" you ask? The most common culprits are not having a meals planed out ahead of time, or even having TOO restrictive of a diet.

Is sleep the key to losing weight?
Good quality sleep helps us in
π€ Fat lose
π€ Muscle growth
π€ Regulates our hunger and appetite
π€ Regulates our hormones and emotions
π€ More energy throughout the day
π€ Ability to remember and learn better
Yet, a lot of us can't experiences all of these benefits when we can't get good quality sleep. So, how do we get better in bed? π
Get a pre-sleep ritual. Prepare your body to help it learn it is time for bed and reduce stress. This can look like dimming the lights, turning off electronics, journaling, deep breathing, yoga, and much more.

We often have this all or nothing mindset. That the only way to achieve our goals is to spend every waking minute in the gym and eat an all organic vegan free meal that cost more than gas and took two hours to make. When in actuality, five minutes a day towards your goal can make the most impact. ββββββββ
