Friends, I want to introduce you to my client—and dear friend—Ruthanne.
Ruthanne lives in Florida, and we’ve had the pleasure of being a team for the past two years. I call us a team because Ruthanne takes her coaching to heart in a way that is truly beautiful and resilient.
When I first met Ruthanne (on the phone—we’ve actually never met in person!), she had experienced tremendous loss. Her husband had passed away, her son was grown and preparing to leave home, and Ruthanne suddenly found herself in a season where she could turn her attention toward healing herself.
At the time, she was navigating knee pain, back pain, shoulder pain and Type 2 diabetes. My heart stretched wide open listening to her story.
Fast forward two years…
She’s traveling in Banff.
She’s comfortable on airplanes and traveling. She hikes, kayaks, takes aqua aerobics and bird watches. She gets down on the floor with her little dogs, climbs the stairs at work and uses her home gym. And she tells me she is now pain-free.
Then she sent me this video from her travels.
She climbed that mountain.
She wanted to give me the credit, but girl… that was YOU.
I’m your coach. I’m your cheerleader. I provide the plan, the progression and the encouragement—but you are the one who shows up. You are the one who keeps going. You are the one who has built this body and this life back up, one consistent choice at a time.
Ruthanne, I am so incredibly proud of you.
This is exactly why I do what I do.
Not just to help people get stronger in the gym, but to help them build a body that gives them more freedom to live the life they want.
Keep going, girl. I can’t wait to see where you go next.

First day of school for my sweet hearts! ❤️
Today Jackson starts 4th grade, and Lia begins TK at the same school. It feels like a big milestone for our family.
My greatest hope for them this year isn’t just that they learn new things—it’s that they build meaningful friendships, grow in confidence, ask lots of questions, and deepen their love of learning. Those are the things that last a lifetime.
As a mom, this season always reminds me why I care so deeply about health and fitness. Taking care of ourselves isn’t just about us—it’s about having the energy, strength, and presence to walk alongside our kids through every new adventure.
Here’s to a school year filled with curiosity, kindness, growth, and unforgettable memories. ❤️📚✏️

There are moments as a coach that remind you exactly why you do what you do. This is one of them. ❤️
Reading Ruthanne’s words brought tears to my eyes.
Over the past two years, she hasn’t just lost nearly 50 pounds. She has gained strength, confidence, balance, freedom from knee and back pain, and—my favorite part—a genuine love for movement.
She went from struggling to get on the floor to exercise… to looking forward to her workouts.
That kind of transformation doesn’t come from chasing quick fixes. It comes from building sustainable habits, meeting your body where it is, and making consistent progress one step at a time.
I’m incredibly proud of you, Ruthanne. Thank you for trusting me through this journey—even with thousands of miles between us. (Florida 🤝 California!)
If you’ve been wondering whether it’s too late to feel stronger, move with less pain, or create habits that actually last, let Ruthanne’s story be your reminder: change is possible.
Thank you, Ruthanne, for this beautiful review and for allowing me to be part of your journey. ❤️

Friends… this is something completely new for me, and I’m so excited to invite you!
One of the best parts about moving Bridge Fitness into my beautiful new studio is that I finally have a space to bring people together for evenings like this.
I’m partnering with my dear friend, Marlena Uhrik of Empowering Elegance. Marlena has an incredible life story, and she has a gift for helping women feel confident, beautiful, and seen. She’ll be sharing some of her wisdom while bringing her signature elegance and grace to the evening.
And here’s the fun part…
It’s a Summer Style & Activewear Exchange!
Clean out your closet, bring those gently loved summer clothes and activewear you no longer wear, and discover some new-to-you pieces from other amazing women. It’s a sustainable, affordable, and fun way to refresh your wardrobe while connecting with our community.
We’ll also have light bites, wellness partners, meaningful conversation, and plenty of laughter.
Whether you’re looking for a few “new” outfits, some inspiration, or simply a fun girls’ night out, I’d love to see you there.
Thursday, July 23
5:30–7:30 PM
Location shared after registration
Come refresh your wardrobe, renew your confidence, and help me celebrate this new chapter for Bridge Fitness. I can’t wait to host you!

Friends, this morning I got to work at the new Bridge Fitness (pinch me! 😁) and found this handy-dandy graphic in my inbox from the one and only Dr. John Rusin, founder of PPSC.
These breathing techniques are part of almost every one of my clients’ prescriptive exercise programs, so if you’re one of my clients, these probably look pretty familiar!
I wanted to share them here because you have the ability to change your state of being. Taking just a few intentional breaths before and after a workout can help shift your body into a more parasympathetic, “rest and restore” state.
Every Saturday, I invite my clients to complete a wellness survey where they reflect on things like sleep, nutrition, habits, and nervous system regulation. But we don’t stop there. We also check in on:
✅ Time outdoors
✅ Time with friends or family
✅ Reading or hobbies
✅ Reduced screen time
✅ A consistent bedtime routine
✅ Therapy or counseling
✅ Breath work
Our health is about so much more than exercise. It’s built through the small, consistent choices we make every day.
The photos here are a few of the things that help fill my own cup—time with family, a recent trip to Big Sur, and finally diving into my friend’s book. (Kelly Conroy 💛)
Let this be your reminder that it’s often the little things that bring the most joy. I hope you’re able to slow down, let your eyelids get a little heavy, and take a few deep breaths today.

Friends and community, my heart is so full from your support at my Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting last week! I want to extend a HUGE thank you to Rancho Cordova Area Chamber for making the ribbon cutting such a success! I appreciate Senator Niello’s office and Representative Hoover’s office for their certificates of business, Ms. Rancho Cordova, my Soroptimist sisters, my dad New Paradigm Astrology as well as so many friends and family members for showing up! This next chapter of Bridge Fitness LLC has such a special beginning, thanks to you!
