Look who’s in Florida celebrating his birthday!! Don Thames celebrated his birthday on Monday and starting today he will be competing in Round 1 of the Senior PGA Professional National Championship!

He has worked with so many of our Jr. Golfers to share his wealth of golf knowledge. Please share this with them!! 😎

Let’s give a big a big shout out to our amazing RMCC Head Golf Pro!!

He is competing against 256 players from PGA sections all across the country!
The top 35 will qualify for the 2019 Senior PGA at Oak Hill Golf Club in Rochester, New York!

The event is being held at the PGA Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
It’s a 4 day tournament starting October 25th. 72 holes with cuts being made after 36 holes and 54 holes!

The RMCC Jr. Golf Program is proud to announce that Jr. Golfer, Alexander Estrada, will be advancing to the PGA Jr. League All Stars team. He will be representing the Rancho Murieta PGA Jr. League Golf team this Sunday, August 12th! We are so proud of him!

The All-Star teams compete in a series of competitions called Section Championships to earn a spot at one of twelve Regionals held across the country, in order to advance to the PGA Jr. League Championship presented by National Car Rental.

The twelve Regional champions will then compete for the Championship.

Alexander has dedicated himself to improving on his golf game each week and it is showing!

He has also advanced to the 2nd round of the Drive, Chip, & Putt Sub Regional Qualifiers competition that will be held on August 14!

Alexander has participated in the RMCC Jr. Golf Program since the age of 5.

Alexander's parents, Carlos and Allison Estrada, would like to thank the Jr. Golf Program instructors, volunteers, and mentors for all their support and instruction. Big THANK YOU to Don Thames and Brian Little for the individualized instruction!
