This morning at approximately 0540 hours, your Redmond firefighters responded to a residential structure fire in the Overlake neighborhood. On arrival, E112 found smoke and fire conditions under the deck, extending to the residence on the Charlie side. With quick action, Redmond firefighters stretched an attack line and knocked down the fire while preventing extension. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Thanks for the assistance Bellevue (WA) Fire Dept. We are proud to serve the City of Redmond and Fire District 34.

Busy last 24 hours for your Redmond firefighters, with crews responding to an golf cart on fire on Willows, an EV into a residential home where we utilized our new Total Safety Solutions plug to disable the vehicle , and a well involved LNG welding truck on SR 520 - with assistance from Bellevue (WA) Fire Dept E106. RPD Drone Catching E111 making a quick stretch on a vehicle fire a few weeks ago. We are proud to serve the City of Redmond and King County District 34.

Drone Arrived First, Helping Responders Prepare When a vehicle caught fire at the intersection of NE 90th Street and Willows Road NE on July 23, our Drone as First Responder (DFR) was in the air before officers arrived on the ground. The drone quickly provided an aerial view of the fully engulfed minivan, allowing responding officers to see the scene in real time and receive updates before they arrived. That situational awareness helped officers safely position their vehicles, manage traffic, and prepare for fire response. @redmondwafire arrived shortly afterward and quickly extinguished the fire. Thankfully, no one was injured. Fire officials determined there were no suspicious circumstances, and the @cityofredmond Public Works crew helped clear the roadway after the vehicle was towed. Every second counts during emergencies.
