After 3 years he ZEUS was left at the Shelter due to landlord problems. They said he is great with kids and other digs, housebroken and leash trained and he needs help fast, they are not giving dogs as much time to make it out. GREAT ASSESSMENT! Zeus was sitting on the back end of the run. He had a closed mouth, soft eyes, a relaxed body, and a neutral tail. He watched the runner until called, then made his way over with a loose wag. He sniffed both the runner's hand and leash when presented
to him and became excited. He place his front paws on the gate and allowed the runner to place on the lead with little effort. Once out, Zeus pulled heavily on leash. He attempted to pull the runner in the direction he desired, but was steer over to the yard. He bypassed all the barking dogs on the way and was more interested in getting to
where they were going. He was led into the catch pen upon arrival. Zeus remained very excited as he ran and explored the surrounding environment. He jumped on the runner to solicit petting and was given affection. He was collared with no issues. When he noticed the dogs standing at the fence, he quickly ran over. He greeted them with a loose posture, displaying no concerning behaviors. When ready, the runner led him into the yard. Zeus quickly
re-approached the other dogs, greeting them with a closed mouth, soft eyes, a loose body, and a fast wag. He was a bit pushy with his interactions and somewhat overwhelmed some of the calmer dogs. He then play-bowed to some of the dogs and engaged in spurts of play. Zeus played in a rough/rowdy play style and needed to be corrected by the handler occasionally to prevent him from overwhelming the other dog. When he finally relaxed, Zeus explored the yard on his own. He stopped to interact with nearby dogs but eventually lost interest in them. He made his way over to the exit and waited to leave. Zeus is ok for public adoption. He is social with other dogs and has a rough/rowdy play style. Large Dogs

**Currently there are 26 "RESCUE ONLY" Dogs and that number continues to grow… That means they can only leave the Shelter with the help of a RESCUE ORGANIZATION that is partnered with LA COUNTY Animal Services.
***The reality is an astounding number of Reputable Rescues have recently been SUSPENDED by LA COUNTY so now it is extremely difficult to find a RESCUE willing to help the dogs (especially at Carson).

My nonprofit 501c3 animal rescue Angels For Animal Rescue Inc. is struggling to stay afloat financially. We have taken in so many special needs and hospice animals this past year that our vet bills are outstanding. We have now recently taken in Cinnamon, a beautiful 7 year old Cavalier who is in left and right sided heart failure .
Our nonprofit is strictly all volunteer base and no one gets paid. Everything goes to the animals. We are even selling everything we can to help pay off our vet bills so we can continue to rescue the animals on death row who are truly in need .
Because we take in the special needs , the sick and truly needy our vet bills are always growing. Everytime we pay a little bit off more is added to the bill.
The animals that are too sick to be adopted , hospice cases or too old we keep under our rescue with the help of our dedicated long term fosters. These animals require monthly vetting, and medication as well as prescription food. We cant do this alone and need your help!
