Next recruitment night is 7/23 at 8pm in Reisterstown. Come give it a try before signing up for the session.

Just a reminder we have our recruitment night tomorrow night from 8-9:30pm at the Reisterstown Sportsplex.

Be sure to bring a white and a dark shirt/jersey.

I’m going to bring as much gear as I have but could definitely use some extra, particularly shoes. If you have any extras people could wear for the night that would be awesome. I have only one pair of smaller shoes for women.

Could use some 4/5s, 10s, 11s. I recommend bringing extra socks in case the shoes are a little big.

It took eight minutes to get the first goal in what turned out to be a high-scoring game. Hauke put a low shot into a crowd of bodies in front of the Yellow net and the ball skipped past everyone, 1-0 for Black. A few minutes later, with Yellow on a power play, a blocked shot landed on Brill's stick and he slid it in to tie the game 1-1. Two minutes later, off a faceoff in the Black zone, Brill gathered and flung the ball on net and in to put Yellow ahead 2-1. Then with three minutes left in the first half, Mitchell collected the ball after a hard bounce off the back wall and blasted in a shot from a tough angle to put Yellow up 3-1. Black got one back just before halftime when Kamphaus picked up the ball close to the net and scooped it in to make the score 3-2.

Seven minutes into the second half, on a Yellow rush into the zone, Silsby found the right angle to sneak in a shot from the boards for a 4-2 lead. Then with nine minutes left, Fletcher stole the ball from Black's defense and scored on the breakaway to give Yellow a 5-2 edge. Black didn't give up. A shot from Hauke bounced off the back wall to Kamphaus who pushed it home to make it 5-3 with seven minutes remaining. Then with three minutes left, amid a scrum in front of the Yellow net, Halpert knocked it in to make it a 5-4 game. Black pulled their goalie for the final few minutes, but Yellow held on to their one-goal lead until the horn sounded.

Lastly, thank you to Pio, our tournament director for keeping everything running smoothly.

Now that we are confident getting to six teams moving forward, we will make adjustments to keep improving.

-We will divide into two separate pools, and playoffs will consist of cross pool play.
-We will figure out a better locker room 1 that isn't five million degrees.
-We will go back down to 12 person rosters, keeping only one extra runner in case of injury. Make sure you sign up on time so you don't miss out.

Tomorrow is the big day. Come out and watch a fun day of DMV broomball. We are happy to partner with our DC Friends, and FX Physical Therapy who will be on site to treat what ails ya.
Food Truck will be on site between 12:30-3:30pm. (Indian Cuisine)

Come out and support, bring your families and favorite lawn games. It's going to be an awesome day
