UPDATE!! It has been awhile since we have posted anything since we had to cancel the Tahoe Rim Ride for 2025 due to maintenance around the Tahoe Rim trails.
We are hopeful we will have a Tahoe Rim Ride on July 25, 2026. We will need to meet with state parks management to determine which trails will be accessible for that timeframe. If we are able to conduct the ride some significant changes for 2026 may be needed due to continued maintenance at our out vet check.
The biggest change you will see soon is the very early ride sign up. We will no longer require a ride entry in December the year prior to our ride. We will post the ride entry with advance warning either in March or April of 2026. Please do not try and contact us before this date as we will not have any information. We will post here as soon as we have anything new about the Tahoe Rim Ride for 2026.

We recently learned that there will be major trail closures for a year in the Spooner Lake Backcountry for dam and water pipeline replacements. We have decided to make a difficult decision to cancel the NASTR Tahoe Rim Ride for 2025.

As you can see on the map attached to this post about 50% of the Tahoe Rim Ride trails will be impacted with these closures. We would also have to find new access to get to our out vet check as that road will be closed. That would be very difficult and hard on the volunteers.

For more information about the trail closures go to www.parks.nv.gov

We will miss the Tahoe Rim Ride this year as it is one of our favorites to run. We will be back for 2026 on July 25, 2026. So look for our posting and signups on December 5, 2025. The traditional count down will begin on November 26, 2025. It will be fun.
