As President of the Richardson High School Athletic Booster Club, I often see firsthand the power of our community—but what happened yesterday was truly remarkable.

While social media often receives its share of criticism, it also has the ability to unite people in meaningful ways. Yesterday, through a series of posts supporting a GoFundMe for one of our RHS students and their family, we witnessed that impact in real time.

In just 24 hours, our community came together to raise over $29,000.

That number represents far more than dollars—it reflects compassion, generosity, and a collective willingness to step up when one of our own is in need.

The response across social platforms was equally powerful, with over 2,500 interactions, 1,400+ likes, and nearly 1,000 shares—demonstrating just how quickly awareness can turn into action when a community rallies together.

The Richardson High School community continues to show what makes it so special. This is what it means to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to support this student and their family in the days ahead. 💜💛 I am so proud to be an Eagle today.
