COACHING TIP OF THE WEEK ⚽️

Gate Passing Drill

A simple drill that develops passing accuracy, first touch, and decision-making under pressure.

- Set up multiple small gates (2 cones each) around a grid
- Players work in pairs and score a point by completing a pass through a gate
- After each pass, move to find a new gate
- Play for 60–90 seconds and track points

Coaching Points:
✅ Quality first touch away from pressure
✅ Pass with the correct pace
✅ Keep your head up before receiving
✅ Move immediately after every pass

The goal isn’t just completing passes. It’s finding space, creating angles, and making the next action easier.

August 10–12, Vedral Soccer Academy heads to Redmond for three days of high-tempo, competitive training designed for serious players looking to push their game to the next level.

Players will be grouped by age and ability to create the best possible training environment while focusing on technical development, decision-making, and competing at a high level.

Competitive club experience required.

This week’s Athlete of the Week honors go to AJ Bombino!

Over the past year, AJ has been a dedicated member of our homeschool program, consistently showing up with a positive attitude and a desire to improve. Through her hard work and commitment to the process, she has elevated her game week after week, growing not only as a player but also in confidence.

AJ’s development has earned her a spot with FC Dallas ECNL, where she will have the opportunity to challenge herself against some of the top players in the country. This achievement is a testament to the effort she has put in and the mindset she brings to every training session.

We are proud of all that AJ has accomplished and are excited to continue being part of her journey. We look forward to watching her grow both on and off the field and seeing what the future has in store for this talented young player.
