Every other week, our students gather around the Shabbat table to share food, stories, laughter, and community. These meals nourish so much more than just the body , they feed the soul and strengthen Jewish life on campus.

Each Shabbat dinner costs about $360 to make happen, and we never charge our students to attend. That is where our community comes in. 💙

Yesterday we celebrated Yom Ha’atzmaut in style! We kicked off the day with tabling and wrapped it up with a fun and delicious al ha’esh (Hebrew for BBQ – “on the fire”). Great food, great company, and lots of spirit!

We had an amazing time celebrating Shabbat together at our Chocolate Seder before Passover officially begins tomorrow! We explored fun and meaningful traditions—singing and dancing to “Next Year in Jerusalem,” and even playfully hitting each other with green onion during Dayenu (a Persian custom).

So grateful for the joy, laughter, and community we shared. Can’t wait for our full Seder tomorrow night at UTD!

Israeli Shabbat at UTD was incredible! Huge shoutout to our amazing Israel Fellow, , who made all the food from scratch—with a little help from some awesome students 🍽️ The food was delicious, and the company was even better 🤍💙 After dinner, we enjoyed karaoke in Hebrew and English 🎤🎶 followed by a few rounds of Rat-a-Tat Cat 🃏 Shabbat Shalom! 🇮🇱🤍💙
