Charlie Barber, a Sales and Service representative from our Charlotte, N.C. branch, is hitting the road this weekend representing Safety-Kleen Motorsports at the Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville. The Potomac Nationals have some beautiful weather in store for the NHRA Pro Series. This is the first time the NHRA has brought the National Series to MIR. Tune into Fox Sports (FS1 and Fox) this weekend to see how the teams are doing.

Recapping a hugely successful weekend for Safety-Kleen and our racing partners! Following his NASCAR Cup Series win last week at Talladega, Carson Hocevar and Spire Motorsports took the victory Friday night in the SpeedyCash.com 250 at Texas Motor Speedway. The next day, Kyle Larson and JR Motorsports took the checkered flag on the very same track to win the Andy’s Frozen Custard 340 in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. To cap things off, Kalitta Motorsports and driver Shawn Langdon put up an all-time top speed record run of 345 mph on Saturday as part of their win at the NHRA Southern Nationals at South Georgia Motorsports Park. Congrats to all!

Carson Hocevar, driving for Spire Motorsports in the Safety-Kleen sponsored #77 Chevrolet, won the exciting Jack Link’s 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday. This was Carson’s first ever Cup Series win, as well as the first for the young Spire Motorsports organization. Congrats all around!

Kalitta Motorsports, the Ypsilanti, Michigan-based powerhouse team in NHRA Top Fuel racing, won the star-studded 4 Wide Nationals final that featured four 10,000 horsepower machines – all backed by Safety-Kleen.

Doug Kalitta bested teammate Shawn Langdon, and husband and wife duo Tony Stewart and Leah Pruett, to win the event under Carolina blue skies.

A big thank you to Safety-Kleen’s Mason, Michigan branch for taking great care of the champ back at the shop, and to the Charlotte, North Carolina branch’s Charles Barber for taking care of all the teams while in Charlotte over the weekend!
