When The Sun Hits on DKFM Shoegaze Radio will be premiering “Gone” by Reveries tomorrow at 10pm ET / 7pm PT! Here is what Jesse Flores, guitarist/producer of Reveries had to say about the new EP!

‘To Find Me Again’ has been a work long in the making. As with Find Me, specifically, being one of our oldest songs, just barely missed being part of Self-Titled. When we dropped the singles, we anticipated the rest to come soon after but the momentum came to screeching halt due to an unfortunate spell of member turnover.

Once we finally found partnership with Shawn, things started looking brighter and we wrapped up pre-production just right before the world spiraled down into the COVID-19 era. The social distancing and safety guidelines threw out the ability to have hands-on input from the rest of the band throughout most of the process.

We had to make due with myself tweaking things and committing to tones, then sending mixes out for feedback, receiving said feedback and applying it, then repeating the cycle. It’s not an unusual method, but it was a relatively new model for us as we usually have the opportunity to really dig into tones collaboratively and in real-time.

In the end, we got it done and I feel the time we took to see it from start to finish really allowed the songs to grow into the best versions of themselves. I hope our listeners agree and enjoy listening to it. It was a long wait for 4 songs, (to anyone who was waiting), haha. But for those who were, hopefully they find it to be worth it. - Jesse Flores, guitarist/producers

The release date (03.05.21) is set for To Find Me Again, the much anticipated sophomore EP from Reveries.

Based in the Pacific Northwest, Reveries is a 4-piece that can be loosely described as a shoegaze band. While shoegaze is an obvious and big influence on Reveries’ sound, they aren’t afraid to push the boundaries of the genre and incorporate elements from typically unrelated genres in all aspects from songwriting, tonality, and production.
