Why I built GolfSync and why it took 14 years of software engineering to get here.

I started playing golf at 16 on a tiny par-3 in Sterling, VA. For years I had a dark secret- I was absolutely terrified of my driver. Stuck to my irons until my youngest brother dragged me to a driving range and coached me through my swing. Today it's the strongest part of my game.

Five years ago during my Master's program I was challenged to solve a real-world problem. I kept thinking about finishing a great round with a random golfer, wishing you could play again but realizing swapping phone numbers felt intrusive.
