Inhale for 4 seconds.

Hey friends! Almost 2 years ago I moved to Richmond, VA to start a new life. The dust has settled and I still have a pull to keep teaching yoga to those who aspire to learn in an authentic space. I’ve gone through a lot of life changes recently and yoga is the one thing that continues to ground me and gives me space so that I can navigate life. I plan to share more here and in my private group soon. Please like and share with people who would want to come along for the journey!

Balance and stability in your practice translates to balance and stability in your mind and relationships. Here is one of my favorite poses to work on balance - WARRIOR 3 or VIRBHADRASANA III.
How to practice:
1️⃣ Start in a neutral standing position taking several breaths. TIP: place a chair in front of you to help you with balancing at first.
2️⃣ At the same time, lower your upper body and lift your right leg.
3️⃣ Allow your right hip to be level with the floor and draw your navel into your spine.
4️⃣ Bring your hands on the chair, out in front of you or take a bind by clasping your hands behind you.
5️⃣ Imaging the energy shooting out from the crown of your head and your right leg. BREATHE continuously and stare and a point on the ground for balance.
6️⃣ Repeat again with the other side.
It is OK to start with a support like blocks or a chair. When I started, balancing and holding this pose took time and patience and now I can close my eyes and meditate. Let me know 👇 how you feel! How do you find ways to balance your life at this phase of your life??

Thanks so much for taking the time to open the invite and visit this page. It means a lot! :) I wanted to open this up when it was ready but I had the best realization that it never will be ready - always a work in progress.
