Dinosaurs ride bikes too! We’ve got perfect weather for hanging out after you ride the park! Don’t forget to check in at our Costume Contest if you’re rocking lights!

The Virginia Credit Union Moonlight Ride is wheeling around Bryan Park! Riders can do loops until 10pm! From the Family Fun Zone, to making your own medal, we’re having a blast!

Just one week until we light up Bryan Park with our make up event! Can't wait to bring the party to the park with ice cream, beer, music, and more!

We really appreciate your patience as we've worked to coordinate and reschedule the Virginia Credit Union Moonlight Ride. As a nonprofit with a mission to inspire active living, we were disappointed that the event designed to get you moving had to be postponed at the last minute due to inclement weather. With months of planning behind it, the untimely change means that our event budget has been exhausted. However, we've worked really hard to come up with an alternative solution, one that still allows you to ride and celebrate under the stars and wisely considers our budget, mission, staff and volunteer time, sponsors, and vendors.

Please join us on Friday, August 26 for the rescheduled Virginia Credit Union Moonlight Ride! The event will take place in Bryan Park from 6:00-10:00pm and will feature an open course—this means you can start whenever you prefer and ride the loop as many times as you'd like during that time frame. The Party Zone will be open throughout the duration of the event, allowing you to partake in the festivities before, after, and during your ride. The Party Zone will feature a DIY medal station, yard games, vendors, snacks, Väsen beer, ice cream, and more.

With the rescheduled event, we have a few options for you to consider. Please complete our RSVP form to inform us of your decision no later than August 22.

Switch to Virtual & Receive Swag
If you're unable to take part in Bryan Park on August 26, we would be happy to switch you to the virtual event and will mail you your event shirt, lights, and sponsor items (if you didn't already receive them).

Donate Your Registration Fee
If you are unable to participate and would prefer to donate your registration fee, we will gladly accept! We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and donations are vital to our mission of inspiring active living. Your support allows us to advocate for safe and accessible bike and pedestrian infrastructure, like the Fall Line trail, and host fun and iconic events like the Virginia Credit Union Moonlight Ride.

Although certainly different, we are proud of the plan moving forward and hope you'll join us under the stars for a magical night in Bryan Park. Our events have been thrown quite a few curveballs over the past few years, but if we've learned anything, it's that a little rain (or even a lot of rain) can't keep our community from coming together over a shared sense of fun and achievement. UPDATE: Due to the severe weather forecast for the remainder of tonight we are unfortunately postponing the Virginia Credit Union Moonlight Ride.

We will coordinate a new date with Richmond City Police, Parks & Recreation, Henrico Police, the Richmond Flying Squirrels, and VCU. We will communicate an update to all participants next week.

We are keeping an eye on the potential for continued thunderstorms this evening. The Virginia Credit Union Moonlight Ride is a rain or shine event and we hope for the event to go on as planned. The safety of our participants and volunteers, and ensuring a positive event experience are our top priorities. Any event changes will be communicated via email, sportsbackers.org, text message (if you opted in), and social media. Packet pick up will still be open starting at 5:30pm.

Super excited to have Black Girls Do Bike: RICHMOND riding with us tonight! They've been regulars, and we're so glad to have them back for another year!

This organization empowers women of color who bike in Richmond Tamara Broadnax and Tanya Jones are members of Black Girls Do Bike Richmond, a national bike organization that targets women of color who would like to bike.

Pedal hour is upon us! Come celebrate the summer with a ride under the stars tomorrow at 8pm! We still have registration available! There's nothing like riding Richmond at night! Kick the weekend off right!

Who's crafting a costume for Friday night?! We hope you have your outfit down and your extra lights charging, because our Costume & Tacky Light Contest is always some stiff competition! Prizes are on the line, so over the top is the best way to go! Just a few more days until ! There's still time to sign up too!

Today is the last chance to sign up for the before the price increase! With two different distances, ice cream, beer, a Post Ride Party, and more...it's the perfect way to spend your Friday night! Register before midnight!
