Hey former Ram Swimmers/Divers and Water Polo players! I know you're out there. Let's get connected.

Who know's; maybe we'll have another reunion (last one was 1995).

I'm a bit behind in sharing this, but here's a link to my Adobe Lightroom folder with the images I took last month.

Thanks to all who came out. We had swimmers from the 70's and 80's enjoying an afternoon of reminiscing and "tall tale telling". Great to see everyone and great to get a chance to talk to Rono on the phone.
Here are a few pix from the event.

Franklin Street Gym, which was torn down in 2020 to make way for a new STEM facility on campus, opened in 1952. Seventy years later, two years after it was torn down and as a new building rises where it once stood, we reflect on a VCU landmark that predated the university itself. Gregory "Greg" Allan Hudson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information 12/02/2020

It is with great sadness that I have to share this news.

One of our fellow Ram swimmers passed away last month. Greg Hudson whose nickname was "Pooh" passed away on the 24th. Greg was part of the 82 recruiting class, was an excellent backstroker and a pretty fun dude. Please keep his family in your thoughts over the Holidays.

Hey Ram Alumni. Prior to the demolition of the Franklin St Gym, I got access and did some picking. I have a number of All American plaques from the women's '74/'75 teams. This was the Camille Wright years before she transferred. Also on those are Adrienne and Leslie Jones with Patricia Waters. Does anyone stay in touch with any of those ladies?
Feel free to message me if you want to keep it confidential.
I have a few projects in the works on other items I picked...more on that later.
I hope all are safe.

Cheers to my old teammates.

I just found this glass, don't remember getting it and surprised it's lasted

Good Morning Rams. A few months ago, I took an informal poll re interest in purchasing some 'mementos' from the pool. I wanted to share a quick update.
I was able to gain access to the pool and have 'picked' a few things. More on that later as we develop a plan. (As a primer; I grabbed a bunch of tile with the idea of building picture frames with tile inlaid around the frame.)
For now, I wanted to share a few photos of the pool. It is scheduled for demo mid-March and will be replaced with a S.T.E.M. building as part of H&S department.
