It's been a while, hasn't it? I've shifted gears a bit but I'm excited for what is and what's to come! It was so very sweet to be back at Brandermill Preschool today, and I can't wait for my time with them again tomorrow.

Enjoying my time with Norfolk Public Library this week and wanted to introduce you to part of the inspiration behind Little Owl Yoga!!!! Please meet Mr. Kevin! Years ago, I took one of my nanny kids to Mr. Kevin’s storytime weekly. When I stumbled upon it, it revolutionized what I considered storytime for toddlers. His story times were SO interactive and incredibly fun! I’m thankful to have learned a lot from that experience, and thankful for a full circle moment at Pretlow!

Did you know we offer an online kids yoga class?
Every Wednesday at 11 am, Ms. Elisa teaches a fun-filled 30 minute yoga class for kids and their families.
We'll stretch, move our bodies and learn about different yoga elements including breathwork, physical practice, mediation and rest. Most importantly, we'll have FUN and incorporate visual aids and games along the way.

Hi everyone. I have been sitting with my thoughts for quite a few days now, trying to figure out the right words to say to the parents of the Little Owls in our community.
There is a lot of heavy swirling around in our world, and a lot of good. Hard conversations are being had and changes are being made.
I'm grateful for the light and innocence little ones bring into this. It's always a great reminder that they are sponges and that it's our job as parents to teach inclusivity and diversity at a very young age. That's the only way that things will ultimately change in our world.
Yesterday, a Mother Theresa quote kept popping up in my mind..."If you want to change the world, go home and love your family." The selfless and grace filled love we show our children will ultimately lead them to being loving, empathetic, compassionate adults.
If you are looking for some 'homework', below is a list of 50 books that celebrate diversity that you can add to your little ones library. It's a great first step!
