Cow Sung Gee Do was founded by Den-Ta A. (Den-Ta means "The house of light that guides through darkness") Native of Richmond, Virginia.. 30 years of martial arts training experience, in various styles. The influences, teachings, and trainings of two Masters have inspired me to develop this system. Those two Masters consist of: Supreme Grandmaster Coach Hulon Willis and his teacher Grand Master Michael L. Morse (Hanshi) of American Quen Sow Gwo Shu Goan. As for my specific rank, I feel what you wear around your waist doesn’t make you who you are, but it’s just a status of recognized rank of some particular martial arts style or system. Actions speak louder than words, rather, how and what you do defines and dictates that true nature of who you truly are inside. If you tell someone that you are great, you may or may not be. If others see the greatness in you, then you truly are great through your deeds and actions. PHILOSOPHY
Cow Sung Gee Do, a way of survival, is not just words: it’s a way of thinking, a way of being, a way of feeling, a way of spiritual peace within yourself, a way of knowing your true identity. In this system, finding your true self through the MIND, BODY, and SPIRIT combined as one, is a true and unstoppable force if mastered properly. In Cow Sung Gee Do, one of the many sayings is, “You are that thing in which is deep inside you, The question is.. what is that thing, an when you have figured out that thing, then there lies your path of your true purpose within your self". So now with this philosophy in place, there is nothing on this earth that you should not be able too survive from.. physically mentally or spiritually. THE SLOGAN
Anyone can teach you to punch and kick, but I teach A WAY OF SURVIVAL through the four (4) principals of HONOR, TRUTH, INTEGRITY, & JUSTICE. THE PURPOSE
The first part of my purpose in this system is to help you build your own personal “ETHOS” within yourself. ETHOS: (ē -, thas) (Greek origin) noun: the distinguishing character, sentiment, moral nature, or guiding beliefs of a person, group, or instructions.. (YOUR PERSONAL CODE OF ETHICS) The second part of my purpose in the system is to empower and promote a way of spiritual harmony within you so what you learn will be a part of your whole being. THE WHY
So you are held and charged to teach others, who are worthy, what you have learned. Not just a student of this system, but a disciple of the principals and teachings of this style.
