17 Blackwood Lane in Lake Monticello Virginia, right side view from down the hill. These plans were finished for a customer in late 2023, but the house is only just now finally under roof. The customer was in love with the inverted "V" roof look which is a very modern design, and I think it turned out great! I had a few more modern projects like this in the last few years, and we used wood "I" joists for the roof framing, which is a bit unusual.

These photos are of a house on Blackwood Lane in Lake Monticello Virginia that is currently under construction. The first photo is of the front view from the driveway. These plans were finished for a customer in late 2023, but the house is only just now finally under roof. That's Lake Monticello down on the bottom left of the photo, and this house is built on top of a cliff. There aren't many lots left in Lake Monticello, but the ones that are are challenging like this one. The customer happens to be a builder from California, so he's used to these sorts of challenging cliffside lots.

The Craftsman style has been the "in style" for the last 7 years or so of drawing house plans. Here's some interesting info on the architectural firm that pioneered this style. Feel free to comment as I'm just starting to read up on these guys.

This home was built in 2009 and 2010 by Gaffney Homes and is 3,900 finished square feet plus the garage, porches and unfinished space in the basement.

This home was built in 2008 and has amost 7,800 finished square feet not including the garage, porch, patios and unfinished basement. It has a view of the fairway of the Keswick Club Golf course from the rear patio.
