Uppercut bag is finally in, these are great for improving not just uppercuts but elbows, jumping knees or face teeps/snap kicks.

Had a great time at the fights this weekend supporting my gym Thai Kickboxing Organization-TKO. Three fighters competed and all three finished finished their opponents via stoppage or TKO. This is why TKO is the best gym in NC!

I've gone back and forth on this idea for a while, however with two children in school now I finally have the time and slot availability to implement this. If you are an emergency responder (Police/Fire/Medical) I have decided to offer a significant discount for private instruction. I have the utmost respect for people in this field, they are selfless and don't get paid anywhere near enough for what they do.

My rate for private instruction is $50 per session and has been for a long time now with the very first lesson half-off at $25. However, if you are an emergency responder I will slash this rate to $30 per session and your first lesson is completely free of charge so you can see if striking is something you enjoy. Thank you.

If you're on the fence about training just keep in mind it's about the journey, manage your expectations. You can start your training anytime at any age, competition isn't required; challenging yourself is really the only goal you need to set.

Had an excellent time in North Carolina at Thai Kickboxing Organization-TKO this past weekend learning from ONE world champion Petchtanong Petchfergus.

Besides being one of the most skilled fighters in the world, he's genuinely one of the kindest, most humble and gracious people you'd ever meet. Very admirable person and a really good cook too, I cannot say enough about him.

It's not everyday a ONE world champion cooks you red curry! I swear I could eat thai food every day of the week.

Between snow days and sick kids I've been too swamped to take updated pictures of my space. Yes, it's a garage. Unfortunately I do this part time and as much as I'd love to rent commercial space, it simply is not economically viable since private lessons aren't in high demand.

It took some time fill in all the space here, I had to get creative with the mats because the black ones were out of stock for a bit but I like the pop of color. I have 288 square feet of mats, more than enough space for two people to train.

I have a very dense banana bag that is great for conditioning as well as a 125 lb aqua bag, a plethora of Thai pads, mits, leg kick pads and plenty of gloves and clean wrist wraps so absolutely zero equipment purchase is necessary to begin training.

Soon to come is a wall mounted uppercut/hook bag and I'm installing a rail mount system so I can attach bands to your hands, feet or waist to build strength and endurance while you strike. Muay Thai is an excellent way to get in shape, you will build muscle and burn fat all while learning how to defend yourself using kicks, punches, knees, elbows and sweeps. Muay Thai is fun, simple and effective.
