At long last, the Spring Ceilidh is here! Follow the balloons outside of 6004-A W. Broad Street to find the stairs up to the studio! There is additional parking in the rear lot. See you today at 2pm! 🎈 🎻

Tomorrow’s the big day! Come join North Atlantic Space from 2pm to 4pm at The Dance Space (6004-A W Broad Street) for an afternoon of dancing, community, and — of course! — live music! We are located above Mekong restaurant with ample parking in the back. Hope to see you there 🎵 ☘️

Here at North Atlantic Steps, we seek to lift each other up as dancers in a welcoming and non-competitive environment. You’re never too late to start learning dance, and never too old to continue. Our student body represents a diverse range of ages, goals, and abilities and we love to welcome new students in. Curious to learn more? Up next for our Spring Ceilidh musicians is Annabelle Bugay, owner and director of North Atlantic Steps, who will be playing piano and calling dances 🎶 🎹 👞

Annabelle first began Irish dancing at the age of six under the An Cor Rud School of Irish Dance in Richmond, Virginia. A competitive dancer for many years, she reached the open championship level before deciding to follow her passion for old-style step dancing and social dancing.

She lived in Limerick, Ireland for two years where she learned Sean Nós (old-style) Irish dancing, before moving to Sydney, Nova Scotia where she completed her BA in Music and Folklore at Cape Breton University.

Today, Annabelle lives in Richmond, VA where she runs North Atlantic Steps, a recreational Irish and Cape Breton step dance school for adults.
