Lately, I’ve been thinking of mentors in my life. They have radically changed my direction and my dreams. The power of one person.

When I sit with what their influence and example has done throughout the stages and periods of my life, it comes down to one thing.

They created a new space for someone like me to occupy.

They were a permission slip, an example.

To me, this is the power we each hold. The ability to create a brand new space for someone else to occupy. Whether that be healing or learning a new skill, embracing new habits, or setting off on a new path.

Your influence far outweighs what you yourself can see.

You are being used in the yes, in the hopes, and dreams of someone else’s life. 🤎

I see you. Taking the bold and shaky next step. I see you. Throwing off the bowlines and trusting the future calling out to you. I see you. Alive and free from your past and the old stories. I see you trying and sometimes feeling lonely in the new changes. I see you. And I am proud of you.

Before this week gets off to a wild start, I want to take some time to truly celebrate what it means to begin a membership with me.

It is an initiation as much as it is an invitation. I intentionally mentor my clients and members in a way that is the most loving form of truth for them. Taking the time to offer personalized coaching is my honor. I am so proud of each and every member’s hard work and heart work!

My clients hire me because they are D-O-N-E trying to do it all it on their own. They recognize that by working together, they will build or refine their foundation they not only need but that they want. There is SO much more that goes into being a foundationally-sound brand than people realize.

I am a fierce advocate for each woman living her version of her “yes” in her life and brand. 🤍

It’s usually a longer process of trust and learning than we would like but that’s why it’s a journey 🥾🌿 and not a drive 🍿 through!

I recently watched the Bob Ross documentary. I remember seeing his smile and hearing his soft voice wash through the channels when I was young. I didn't stop to watch his program or listen, but he did make an impression on me from afar.

I didn't know his story.
I did remember thinking it was cool what he did for work. That's back when I refused to believe being a full-time creative would ever be a possibility.

It was pre-internet, and I was a child. I'd been told forever to be practical, work hard, and choose something where you made good money.

Bob was in the midst of sharing how he became an artist, an inspirational one, teaching thousands of people how to paint over the course of his lifetime through live classes and his television show.

He helped some people get out of depression, learn something new, or create an entirely new hobby or business. That's when he said: “Talent is a pursued intere common to look at an artist, musician, decorator, baller real estate agent, coach, author, and think, “Wow… they were just born for that. I could never do that.”

When in reality, there has been an interest that the person, protégé, performer, creator has dedicated themselves to pursue.

I understand the very real need for your business within your brand to be producing.

Over the years, I’ve witnessed (and experienced myself) the triggered response that hiring a coach can have. Suddenly, it’s as if the bar of expectations on your results gets raised and it sends your system into an ancient panic.

I am a driven and visionary coach for my clients, holding the weight and initiation of their visions with them, but I overemphasize being regulated so that we remain in the safe zone for steady, sustainable, good-feeling growth. 💗 I call this a softer approach to coaching. No creative brand owner I know wants to be at the mercy of their business. But yet, isn’t that what can happen?

Well, not on my watch! I live to see creatives trusting what they’ve built, loving their days, and living into each and every role that is wildly important to them.

Also: Having sick days, taking rest, going on adventures, tuning in to coaching calls from on the road, catching replays & sharing take aways, and overall, feeling empowered and free to show up exactly who and how they are in the ever changing seasons of life. Yee-haw!

Also: I have learned this through experience. A story for another day!

The pull for my own creative space has been so present. 🌸 So I created my own little “painting table” in the guest room (one of my favorite rooms that I would LOVE to spend more time in) and I’ve been chipping away. Mixed media. Watercolor. Colored pencil. Magazine clippings. Complete permission. The only agenda is expression and joy!

One year ago, I was completely submerged in painting my second line of jewelry with and our dining room table was my 🖌️workshop.

This year, I chose to sit in the work already created and let it continue to beam out. ☀️ I can sense this is a new theme for me as I simply deepen into the work created.

I’m looking forward to sharing bits and pieces and hope you will find your own creative, loving, courageous spark when you look at them ✂️🎨🧵

What’s something you’re carving more space for this summer?

I will always be inspired by ’s originality of this design that has been recreated endlessly. I always want to give credit back to her!

This is my version of Father’s Day. A tender and important day for many of us out there.

The and/both is big for me on a day like this, and as I think of my friends near and far, I wanted to include as many experiences as I could.
