We are keeping an eye on the sky!

Dependent on the weather channel you like, there are a lot of varying forecasts for the Ocean City/Snow Hill area.



Our team will be on sitevin the wee hours of the morning, getting things ready, but some of you are asking for decisions, or help making one so here is some help.



Weather is not something we control, and we race in the rain. The only thing that will stop us is lightning (actually, lightning within 10 miles). If there is a lightning strike within 10 miles and it is moving towards us, we will pause for 30 minutes. We have to go 30 minutes without a proximity strike to us before we can resume.



If there is a strike, we will work with our emergency management partners to make a decision as to how long we can delay, and will communicate that.



If you are not comfortable with raving in the rain (it DOES make you 15% more Bad Ass!) or are worried about lightning putting a damper on your day, we are WAIVING DEFERRAL FEES.

With the worsening wind conditions and the lack of ability to support with kayaks, we are officially canceling the Back Bay Swim. All participants can still pick up their swag (if you are already headed this way) and each participant will receive a deferral to next year.

The Back Bay Triathlon is still slotted to occur tomorrow (Sunday) with less wind forecasted.

Preliminary water temps for Back Bay Swim (Saturday) and Back Bay Tri (Sunday) was 78 degrees at 12pm with NO JELLYFISH!

Busy weekend ahead with our Back Bay Swim (Saturday), Back Bay Triathlon (Sunday) and a whole lot of supported events through TCR Event Management

Check out our 1 Mile and 3 Mile open water swim options outside of Snow Hill, MD.

The water was amazing yesterday at the Public Landing Wharf. Temps are in the high 70s (taking another temp tomorrow) and NO JELLYFISH sighted! According to locals, they haven't really seen them all year.

The Rev3 Back Bay Swim is on Saturday September 12, 2026. It includes the following events: 3 Mile Open Water Swim and 1 Mile Swim.

The Montclair Triathlon, scheduled for Sunday, June 28th, has been cancelled due to lack of interest. If you were one of our registered athletes, or you were waiting for a last minute race, please be sure to check out the local Colonial Beach Triathlon, on the same weekend.

While we hate cancelling events, we also will not put on an event that we cannot provide the absolute best experience, including necessary safety precautions. We hope to find a more suitable weekend in 2027 that athletes would like to race on, so that we can show off this amazing course and community.

All registered athletes have received an email and will receive full refunds in the next 10 days.
