We wrapped up our Lake Wateree Summer Saturday Evening (3 hour tournaments )this evening with some nice fish caught. Jeff and Jacob Norris win with a 3 fish limit weighing 11.12 pounds. Tanner and Alan Fletcher finished 2nd with a 3 fish limit weighing 9.41 pounds and had the big fish of tournament with a 4.51 pounder. 3rd place went to Shane and Kyleigh Cantley with a 3 fish limit weighing 9.03 pounds. We resume our Lake Wateree Open Series on September 26,2026 and start up our Lake Wateree Fall Trail on October 3, 2026. Randall Bock and Steve Phillips win the Lake Wateree Saturday Evening Bass Tournament with a 3 fish limit weighing 10.32 pounds. They also weighed in the big fish at 4.29 pounds. Jerry Freezon finished 2nd with 3 fish at 7.63 pounds.

Something to ponder....2008 CATT Lake Wateree Summer Trail 5 Qualifiers. 1 was won with 18 lbs...2 were won with 13 lbs...the others 14 -15 lbs. 2026 CATT Lake Wateree Summer Trail 5 Qualifiers 4 were won with 19 lbs and some change. 1 with 17 1/2 lbs. Despite what some may say the fishing is really good at Wateree and way better than a lot of years in the past. I have records.

11 years ago today me and my son won the Catt Lake Wateree bass tournament and received a check for $1480.00. I’m retired from tournament fishing and now I’m the tournament director for the Catt Lake Wateree Trail and today I had the pleasure to write a check for $2760.00 to another father / son team. We have a number of father/sons, father/daughters, husband/wifes, grandfathers/grandchildren and long time buddies teams fishing with us.
