For today’s we decided to make eating veggies fun! Why eat zucchini chopped up and boring when you can turn it into a receptacle for carrying your favorite filling? 😆 We hollowed our our zucchini and filled it with a mixed sauté of ground beef, onion, chopped tomatoes and the inside of the zucchini that we chopped up. (Flavored with onion powder, garlic powder, chile powder and cumin.) Roast your zucchini boats in the oven for about 20 minutes on 350, then serve filled boats on top of rice and beans with a little sour cream, cheese and salsa for a twist on 😋

Happy !! What’s your favorite pre or post workout snack? We love these vegan and gluten free . They taste like cookie dough and give us the energy we need before a heavy workout. The recipe makes about 14-17 balls. (If you make 17, each ball is about 55 calories) Here’s the recipe:

In a good processor, Pulse 1/3 cup raw oats with 2/3 cups raw cashews until a sort of grainy flour is made.

To that, slowly pour in 3 Tablespoons maple syrup (or 2 TB agave and 1 TB maple) and 1 ts vanilla.

Trying to come up with a new way to have oatmeal in the morning try using some different ingredients. This oatmeal is made with rolled oats, unsweetened almond milk, coca powder, almond butter, chia seed, and grounded flax seeds. Hey there Go Timer’s it been awhile, but with Thanksgiving this Thursday we have a top five healthiest foods on your Thanksgiving table.

Number one the most important part of the Thanksgiving table is the turkey. When preparing the turkey make it as a basic roast without all of the added items to it (bacon, loads of butter, deep frying it, ect). When made properly the turkey is much lower in calories and is a great source of iron.
_

Number two a side dish to our turkey Sweet Potatoes. Sweet Potatoes are a natural powerhouse when it comes to healthy foods. The are packing a serious amount of vitamins.
_

Number three is our nice and tasty green beans. These little fellas are a great fresh vibe to the Thanksgiving meal. Half a cup of green beans bring in great vitamins A and C, potassium, and calcium.
_

Number four is a must have on your Thanksgiving plate cranberry sauce. This bitter sweet dish is delicious and healthy. Cranberries are high in fiber and other antioxidants.

Last but not least is brussel sprouts. With a nice mild nutty and sweet flavor these tender veggies are great in salad. Tha bring vitamins A,C,and K as well as other antioxidants.

Happy Tasty Tuesday Go Timers to day we are going to look at two snacks for anytime you get a little hungry.

Seaweed sheets are easily found in many grocery stores. These thin sheets of seaweed are light and will easily satisfy your hunger. The seaweed has great source of vitamins and minerals. It also helps to lose weight by reducing hunger. Seaweed is a great snack between lunch and dinner.

The rice cakes are another great tasting snack that is lightweight. It's easy to find in many grocery and retail stores. Rice cakes are a great way to help get you body some energy. The rice cakes are made with rice flour which can give us a boost of energy.
